2rd time successful! This was a frustrating but real factor of the construction industry after having won a competitive tender for the new offices of local accountant firm Busing Russell based on a design by 4 Site design, ICE Electrical Solutions was then told that the project was to be re tendered and was asked to re price the project based on new drawings by Jackson Architects.

On the 2nd attempt ICE Electrical Solutions successfully won this project again with Cleland’s Construction.

The project presented a milestone for ICE Electrical as the projects scope of work also included the structured cabling for the data and phone systems. This work normally subcontracted out was completed in house with the addition of a new staff member highly skilled in the data trade. The challenge was accepted and professionally completed to the client’s satisfaction.

Another challenge was the management of the security sub trade. Typically this would be managed by the main contractor but not on this occasion. The security system was sub contracted out to Cactus Security who successfully completed the project with the desired result.

With the above challenges managed successfully the electrical portion was as typical of any other project non the less with its usual challenges staring with the Powerco Network connection and upgrade to adaptation of specialist lighting ensuring that it would fit in  with onsite changes to the ceiling structure and design. The project ran from November 2006 – June 2007 totalling almost 1000 man hours of work.
